Carla Barnard

CEO & Broker In Charge 

After graduating from the University of Oxford, Carla worked as a commercial real estate attorney for Hogan Lovells LLP in London, specializing in real estate finance, investment and complex development work for institutional clients including Prudential, Ford Motor Company, Barclays Bank, HSBC and a number of REITs.  She has advised extensively on solar farm and renewable energy producing property transactions and hotel and care home M & A. 

Since moving to Asheville, NC in 2013, Carla has used her expertise to move into commercial real estate brokerage where she works alongside investors, businesses and non profit organizations to meet their CRE goals.

Carla currently serves as Broker In Charge at Carla & Company,  playing an integral role in elevating Commercial Real Estate in Western North Carolina. She also currently serves on the Real Estate Board of The Community Foundation of WNC, the Endangered Properties Committee of the Historic Preservation Society, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue Board, Asheville Music School Board, and the Buncombe County Board of Adjustments. 

 

Stacy Wheeler

Broker

With a background in Hospitality Sales, Stacy has a knack for being perceptive and tactful during the search and contracting process. Connecting the dots, being a part of new business, expansion of existing business or building an investment portfolio is what drives this real estate professional. Her local expertise, resources and ability to find off-market opportunities make her an integral part of the team.

Stacy spent 10 years in Chattanooga, TN, adding a few feathers in her cap in Hospitality Sales with multiple awards in leadership and consistently exceeding her revenue goals. She excelled in partnering with companies such as SIAG, Aerisyn, Volkswagen, Tandus and Unum. 

She happily juggles her spare time with her two boys between the soccer field, skateboard park or on the creek.

Jessica Auge

Broker

Jessica started her career in Commercial Real Estate in 2015, working as the Executive Assistant to the BIC of CoveStar Investment Realty Advisors in Asheville. She got her license in January of 2016 and has since gained extensive experience in all facets of CRE, in addition to residential brokerage and development services. In her work as a Tenant Rep, Jessica has learned how to navigate complicated zoning requirements and construction challenges. Jessica works closely with her clients to advise and guide them through the process of buying, selling, or leasing. Her work goes beyond the transaction. 

Jessica graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She worked as a professional photographer for several years prior to moving to the Asheville area.  In addition to photography, graphic design and marketing expertise, Jessica has over 15 years of Office Management, Administrative and Customer Service experience. She loves helping people and she goes above and beyond to help her clients and her team achieve their goals.

Jessica is a member of the Hendersonville Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. In her leisure time, Jessica enjoys music, the arts and spending time outdoors with her husband, Nathan and their pup Dilbert.

Darrell Metcalf

Broker

Darrell joined Carla & Company in Q1 of 2022. His previous experience involves working as a Survey Chief in Asheville performing boundary, topographic, planimetric and development stakeout surveys. 

He worked as a Real Estate Development Consultant providing commercial site selection analysis and site feasibility for multiple uses; including retail, single family subdivisions, multi-family development, and self storage. 

When he was a Project Manager at Stream Mitigation Bank he attained The Wetland Delineation certification. He also assisted with site planning for land development, taking sites from concept and budgeting to full site jurisdictional approval and construction (multi-family, single family subdivisions, self-storage, single slab commercial). 

Darrell is a local to Asheville, raised in Barnardsville attending Brookstone Church. His family run the very successful Burley Stick Farm.

Britni McCollum

Client Relationship Manager

Britni is an energetic marketing professional who is adept at assessing needs, generating options, and implementing creative solutions. Born and raised in Jacksonville Beach, FL Britni moved to Asheville in 2011 to explore everything this spectacular mountain town has to offer.

She is an innovative web marketer with the proven ability to leverage technology and deliver impactful, call-to-action content. Her experience includes managing multiple in-bound marketing projects, campaign & website design, SEO development, and conversion optimization.

Britni loves spending time with her husband, Bryan, and their sweet pup, Roxi. You can find them frequenting the many amazing restaurants and breweries in Asheville as well as exploring the trails and rivers of WNC.

Victoria Erskine

Communications & Operations Director

Victoria’s role is multi-faceted, she is a communications specialist with a passion for PR and Marketing, holding over thirteen years experience both in-house and agency in America, United Kingdom and Hong Kong although with significant exposure in both APAC and European markets. 

She is very creative, enthusiastic, pro-active and thrives at working under pressure. Holding an excellent professional record for creating and implementing successful public relations and marketing initatives, identifying lucrative opportunities, fostering relationships and securing partnerships.

Developing business strategy and expansion through; operations, recruitment, measuring brand performance and leading marketing projects including; direct mail, collateral, PR, advertising, promotions and online communications. This role requires a blend of strategic vision as well as strong hands-on practicality in planning and executing strategies to further elevate Carla & Company’s regional image and reputation.

She is a natural networker with an abundance of International connections from collaborating in previous roles with brands such as Tory Burch, Burberry, Sony Music, MTR, Hong Kong Tourist Board, MAC, The Ritz Carlton, Art Basel and The Walt Disney Company.
